Heck, so it's not a V8 as in having 8 cylinders. That's kind of misleading, the word "version" is nowhere in the listing.

It's not misleading. You just have to be up on your subaru nomenclature :). It's like calling it an EJ207. If you're not up on the engine code you wouldn't know what you're buying. They're not expecting joe blow to buy that engine. Anyone who was going to buy that engine would know what a v8 was :)

You're a joke. How did he steal a thread from you that he created before you? Your logic astounds me. I know you're going to reply with, "LOL, It was just a joke, geez, lol. Your just like those USMB guys with a stick up there but lol." Please don't though, because that's old and stupid.

I posted the same topic in the ashtray. I think mine was first. Hence the thread stealer remark.

All in good fun. All in good fun.

I apologize for the mix up. I retract my thread stealer comment and replace it with something more attractive.

...who wants a V8 anyway? I'd expect a boxer 8 from Subaru if they're gonna try for 8 cylinders, or I'd be pretty dissappointed.

It doesn't bother me if there were a thread-stealing comment there. I hadn't noticed it in the ashtray yet. I was a little confused by the ebay listing, and I'm not familiar enough with engine codes to recognize what it was. I just kept thinking "Why a V engine" and "damn, each cylinder must be tiny".
