cigarette lighter outlet

I have a 92 legacy LS and my cigarette outlet does not work. Do they go bad? The fusse is fine, I didn't know what else it could be.

you know it only works when the ignition is on, right ? I though mine was busted when I bought the car, I was used to my other cars, where it works all the time, even if no key in the ignition at all

Uhh, yea I knew that. I figured it just burned out No pun intended.
I guess I'll have to find a replacement at the junk yard.

before you do that, just check the back of the lighter, you'll have to remove the bottom plastic pannel below the steering wheel, their is a plug that goes into the back of the lighter, and their is a second single wire that clips on the side, the single wire sometimes comes off just make sure it's attached.
