4EAT question
ok, well, i got the car with a non working tranny but motor runs. I checked fluid, was full, no brwon color, or odor to it. so i changed it. then i took the pan off and cleaned it good and there was no metal peices on the magnet or in the pan anywhere. Then i replace shift linkage and it still doesnt work. so i think its something electrical. but i did notice that one or two times if i start the engine up, the power light will blink for a bit then go off, but it only did that twice. anyone know whats going on with it?, its not the pump either, i took off a line to the tranny and started the car and fluid sprayed out of it(not the brightest way to check it but it works) so im stumped. any help is awesome and needed. thanks and this is off of a 1991 legacy AWD
Go to my site, notes & tips, trans related, and read how to pull the codes from the TCU.

Dude, of course it works without moving the car. You can pull codes from a dead car, after all.
