Well my wbO2 came in today, great timing now that I have no way to tune anything (see my SAFC II post) http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/zt2.htm
It looks nice, I'll let you know when I get it hooked up how it works.
In other news I did score a MAF out of the JY so I'll modify it soon.
I think the easy way will be to make the sensor tunnel smaller. Just press in a reducer. That will increase the sensor range and hopefuly run 440cc injectors.
Forgot to add that I ordered up a set of 440's, now I need to find rails for them.
I paid $290 for the injectors. http://www.deatschwerks.com/products.html
Right after I got them I found two sets of STi take off 560cc's for under $200 on NASIOC.
If they don't work (it says they fit STi's and we know STi injectors will work) I know a few guys with SR20DET's to sell them to.

actualy youll want a bigger maf not a smaller one. if you put an insert in it, it will decreace the range of the maf.
but please, help us confirm, suposedly acording to information presented and from experience of only one other person maybe 2, the 440's will be adapted to by the ecu over a short peroid of time.
so can you run them for a week without tuning to see if its true.
thanks
also did you get the display with the sensor. if not how would you get the info off the sensor

Reduce the sampling area means less air is flowing where the sensor originally thought more air was flowing.
The sensor sees less air, and adjusts fuel accordingly, hence, more air may flow through before the MAF is maxed.
The only downside I see to this, is the fact that you are now going to be running outrageously lean.... Unless you feel like the increased "squirt" of the injectors will quench it, so when it feels like it should be leaning out, it's metering proper fuel. I don't know that I would feel entirely comfortable just "winging it" and hoping for the best.
Another downside to this I can see would be some retarded timing, since the MAF is seeing less air than usual, the load readings would be jacked.
i was reading here that a bigger maf will alow you to take in more air with lower maf readings so that if you have larger injectors it might balence out, as in the point of using the big 300z maf.
i dont see how or why a restriction in the maf could help in any way.
