Tell me about it! If I ever get a garage, though, my first second car will be a GN or T-Type. I always liked those G-bodies (they were G-bodies, right?). I think they're some of the best cars they ever made. Even the Monte Carlo SS wasn't bad (my ex had one) - they rode nice, were pretty solid (except for the big doors) and handled well for their size. They actually weren't that much bigger than a Camaro footprint-wise (what a waste of interior space that car was), but comfortably transported 5 passengers and luggage and were far better built.
Then maybe I'd get an XT to make a speedster out of - cut down windshield, welded doors, no roof and some custom bodywork to visually make up for the missing roof as well as reinforce it further. But don't worry subyluvr - Ginger's safe!

G-Bodies are awesome, I've wanted a Turbo Regal ever since I found out about them. The Monte SS is cool too, I was very cloes to buying one, but the fact that it has probably one of the worst engines EVER kinda ruined it...
But yeah, TRs are sick, grossly underrated at 240hp/300tq, more like 275hp/370tq stock!!

Yeah, they really should've put a 350 in the MC SS at least. She had a few thijngs done to it so it wasn't that bad, but it still wasn't that quick. Funny thing is, because of the gearing it had the same top speed as my 1984 GL. What about the Olds Cutlass with the 307? Now that engine was terrible!

Yeah, 305 HO! What did it put out? Maybe 190 HP. My friend had an '85 Olds Delta 88 with the regular 307 and my 73 HP GL could keep even with it. There was almost nothing you could do with those motors either.
What about the 327? Why the hell didn't they keep making that!? Dumbasses.

"300zx AFM"
Interesting. So the output of this unit is similar to the RS's, eh? What's the size increase over the stock MAF/AFM?

it looks to me as if it was the same thing, I knew it was different because the plug had been spliced into the loom, apparently they are more accurate and are used in big HP applications, most of this stuff came off a half cut I just bought
the shmucks that imported it didn't know what a weapon they had, so i got it dirt cheap

Interesting... so the 300ZX AFM is made by JECS? I wonder if all JECS mass airflow sensors have more or less the same transfer function.
Or is your ECU series 1, and the 300ZX AFM is made by Hitachi?

I thought I'd resurrect this thread so I could ask a question. I'm preparing to buy a FMIC and I'm needing some advice. Just so I'm not a cock, I did do some searching before I posted, that's how I found this thread. Anyway, I haven't decided what FMIC to buy because I wondering if I'll need to modify my front bumper, something I don't want to do if I don't have to. I've pulled out my condenser and all my AC shit. Do I still need to mod my bumper???

i have a little front end damage on my car so maybe im different but the 5 inch barely fits in there as it is. i had to caress the skid plate a little to alow it to sit far enough back so it didnt get in the way as much. as of right now my bumper cover hangs marginaly lower than the core. if i used a 6 i dont think it would have fit.
take your bumper off and make a mock up using the deminsions of the cooler given on the website. if it fits than get the 6. if it doesnt than get the 5. im using it with the 2.5 in out endtanks. doing any different is up to you and how big you want your pipes

i didnt. if i end up pulling the actual bumper beam off for a bigger ic i still wont have to. my ac is still there and its nice and cold
oh and i also left the battery in the same spot. if i want to go back to air box though ill have to redo the hot side and move the charcoal canister.

My A/C is still installed and fully functional. My front bumper has been modified but is still structurally there...radiator has been leaned back a ways for clearance...headlights had to be moved a bit outwards...
