replacing valve cover gaskets

what else should i do while they are off?

i am replacing the oil fill neck gasket and the washers for the bolts.

I think there are o-rings for the spark plug holes that might be good to change.

Not on our engines, on engines where the spark plug goes through the valve cover there are spark plug seals.

i feel obligated to do this myself since my mechanic told me his 10 year old son changed his in the driveway last summer.

i plan to have my duaghter embarrass all of you w/her wealth of car knowledge way before she is 10.

she allready has the basics down at almost 3.

so it looks like there is nothing else that really can be done while im in there. thanks.
