What WRX impreza exhaust parts fit my 92 Turbo Legacy?

Headers, cats, uppipes, downpipes, midpipes and mufflers.

What WRX impreza exhaust parts fit my 92 Turbo Legacy?

Post by goodtohave »

I have seen posts that show it is possible to modify the rear to fit but what about the front pipe with cat and the mid....seems there are a lot of stock systems around so it would make a good stock replacement. Thanks!

Header, uppipe (don't need to replace on our cars), downpipe, and midpipe, although it will have to be extended to fit the legacy. Also, the backbox will fit with modification to the exhaust hangers and pipe extension.

ARe there any performance gains from putting a WRX turboback on our cars? I thought the pipes were the same size for the legacy turbo? Please help

You mean modifying the stock WRX system to fit our cars?

I think he meant an aftermarket TB to fit the Legacy. I would think that'd be a pretty worthwhile project. Seems to usually unlock a good deal of power from the EJ20Ts. :D

sorry I meant an OEM WRX exhaust

Post by pjgaerlan »

I have my OEM exhaust from my WRX sitting in my garage and I was wondering if I would see any gains? It is almost the same size actually. Just wondering if anybody has put an OEM exhaust on their turbo legacy

The only gains you will see will be from fresh cats.

Should I go catless?

Post by pjgaerlan »

I am looking into purchasing a catless downpipe that also replaces the midpipe, then just going to a custom catback from there. any suggestions?

Cool, so the WRX header bolts up to the Legacy up-pipe with no issues?
Sweet...my Legacy header is rusted badly and all the heat sheilds rattle. I'm sure I can find someone's WRX header they are getting rid of! :D
