HKS EIDS

Post by Matsumoto »

Anybody seen this? Was cruising the web and thought this was interesting. Looks like it stabilizes idle with atmos. BOVs.

wow... I'd rather have a properly-functioning BOV that doesn't leak at idle or under any boost level. HKS makes that too :)

Well, it also looks like it prevents a rich mixture during blowoff as well which everybody seems to have a problem with.

I can open mine to full blow off and don't have any problems, it runs rich but it's fine. I can only feel it a little when the engine is cold but I try to stay off the boost untill it's warm so.......

That thing isn't for a leaking BOV just the shift.

Yeah. It seems popular in the DSM crowd. It also comes packaged in the Super AFR from HKS.

hmm... but if it doesn't let you run a little rich right when the throttle plate closes and the vent opens - how will you backfire? :)

I'm not all that concerned with my AFR during shifts. I'm more concerned with my AFR during PTFB and WOT.

Mad props to free5tyle!!!

I love how my Leggy Backfires, like between every shift when I'm on it!!

I remarked at the rally a few weeks ago that my car sounded like the rally cars (making booming sounds in the forest)
