ok, i am only getting about 1 psi on the boost gauge, it shows about 7 psi of vac. i get vac when i am under 2500 rpm, but not all the time. i wraped the back of the gauge with thread tape and i dont think it could be leaking. i am going from soft hose to the hard line then back to soft then back to hard. can anyone help.
I see your using the plastic tubing that comes with the guage, thow that shite away. Get your self some good silicone or rubber vaccum line, that'll make things a little more accurate and quicker responding.

What's the max vacuum you're seeing at idle? Is 7 mmHG the most vacuum?
If so then you definitely have an issue in the tubing and/or the gauge. Vacuum should be somewhere around 19mmHG at idle. I don't think this number is going to change much between n/a and a turbo.
most of the time the vac does not even show up. some times it does go up to 7 when i am at about 2500 rpm but then goes away. should i order another gauge? should i call autometer and talk to them. i tapped off the bov line and i know its the right line ( it runs to the bov). it was giving me about 3psi of boost but then stoped. when the car turns off the neddle does not go to the 0 section it sits just above. anyone know what kinda of replacement program autometer has?
oh yes, bottle rockets and lighter fluid were left over from last night. anyone ever made a foot deep hole and put 4 morters in it? well let me tell you it will leave a big hole in the middle of a corn field. but umm i cant tell ya how i know this.
One of Three things: Crappy guage (Get a new one if thats the problem), Crease/hole in the tubing, or the guage is connected to the wrong vacuum source. Check those last two first, and if your readings are still unexplainable, get a new guage.

well i installed everything again. taking everything out and trying new things. none of the plastic line had kinks in it. none of the rubber line had kinks in it.
the reason for using the plastic at the firewall is because the grommet would press the sides of the rubber and make it smaller (kinked in a way). i inserted the plastic tube about three inches on both sides then double zip tied them. i double zip tied all of my conections. i used an adaptor to go from the tube to the back of the gauge, i zip tied it as well.
now i get no reading on my gauge. can you all look at the pics and see if the line is on the right spot.
i am using the intake manifold from my ej22, not the ej22T, maybe the bov is taped into the wrong place.
but if it is taped at the wrong place then why was i getting readings before and not now?
anyone know if that is the right place for the bov to tap into?
update, when the car is at like 2500 rpm it will go to about 9 on the vac side, never hits boost. even when i hear the turbo spool it will not go to the boost side. i know i am hitting boost because i got to 5k on the rpm and let off and heard the the waste gate/bov. i think the waste gate is what i am hearing because its a louder sound and more of a phsssssssssssssss. lasts like 5 seconds or less.
