Carpet?

Post by Slick1100 »

The carpet in my car is looking pretty ragged, and I'd like to replace it. Bad enough to have a mis-colored fender (haven't had the time to park the car to paint it), but those of the opposite sex are even less impressed by the old carpet. Any ideas, or do I have to start looking at upholstery shops?

A sport sedan should go a long way in impressing the opposite sex. They don't have time to think about the carpet when they are getting pushed into the seat with some g-force.

Errrr... yeah, carpet shop I guess. It'd be kinda messy to try and rip the carpet out of a donor car.

You can also die carpet, or even paint it depending on the colour. I've just saw some pretty nice die jobs that this body shop guy I know did. They don't even come off on other things and such. I suppose if you use a darker colour, it might cover up dirt and stains and such. I've been thinking about the same stuff on my car...just to dirty. My dash is faded from sun in places to, and my sunroof leaks like a sunabiotch. Let us know how whatever you do works out!
Thanks

I was kinda hoping to replace the carpet because it's getting worn and the driver foot mats are peeling up. Granted, I drive it hard enough to keep my passenger's attention away from the carpet (blown out all 4 struts in less than a year's time just driving some twisty mountain roads  ). I hope to have her back up and running by the end of July, but I've got a long grocery list of things I want to do to her. Er... the car that is. :D
