Rear "door open" swich has no effect, pinouts for

Post by gnuman »

I need the pinouts for the liftgate on a 92 Legacy L wagon to help me in diagnosing an electrical problem with the switch that shows weather the gate is open or not. Backstory: the original owner did not care much about bodywork so three passenger doors and the liftgate were pretty crunched up. I was able to get new ones (well used, off of annother car (a 93 I believe) and now the indicator on the dash that tells you that the liftgate is open never goes on, and the dome light in the hatch area will not go out when set to "door". I need pinouts for the three connectors that go to the wiring harness in the liftgate for both a 92 and a 93. I did already check that the latch switch is functional, and manually "activating" it with a spare connector did nothing with regards to the indicator and dome light. I'm guessing that there is a wire switched in the harness between these years, but I cannot imagine why that would be so. . .

You will get my Legacy from me when you pry my cold dead fingers from the wheel.
