Engine Management Discussion Sought

Post by Larry Witherspoon »

I have lost faith in inexpensive solutions and now recommend Dastek Unichip as the best compromise between dollars and sense. It is a more expensive process than I would liked to have in my plans for the future, but I like the idea of keeping all the stock sensors and piggybacking off what's already there rather than a big electronics changeout for a daily driver. And I like the idea of optimizing the ignition fuel curves for my specific engine combo.

If you anybody knows of something competitive using the same approach please let me know

So far I'm happy with my Perfect Power. I have fuel and timing control, can run extra injectors or the boost control solenoid off it.

I have not done much for tuning because all I have on my car is 3" exhaust. After the 440cc injectors and AWIC goes on I'm going to push the stock turbo pretty hard and see..... And I'll be getting a bigger turbo sometime.

Thanx for the feedback guys

My long awaited long lost EJ22T block is finally on the FedEx truck from Colorado headed for DPR Racing Development, Gardena CA

No not going to build a racing engine

Going to build a super torquer street engine

Big step in my decade long EJ22T hot rod project

Have most of the parts

Down to work needed on block, heads and maybe cams, then turbo and cooler install, header/exhaust system fab, engine management, and I'm gone

Easier said than done, but at least a step in the right direction
