I believe I have a defective engine knock sensor that I need to repalce per the OBDC error code (P0325) and the fact that I've been experiencing unusuall pinging lately. The service bulletin posted on this site seems to confirm my suspisions (http://www.legacycentral.org/library/li ... /knock.htm).
My problem is, I have no idea how to locate my knock sensors. I've seen several pictures of what they look like when removed, but no pictures of what they look like in the engine block.
Can anybody describe where I can find them, or better yet have pictures? The links in the service bulletin are now inactive. I drive a 95 Subaru Legacy 2.2 liter. It sounds like any of the 2.2 liters from the early 90s would be similar.
thanks,
Eric

If you look straight down from the throttle cable area, you should see it.
Here's a pic of it still in the car
