I have just bought a turbo engine second hand and when I time it up the crank rotates round and stops in the same place each time. Is this just a stuck valve and if so, whats the easiest way to fix it.
It had no plugs in it when I got it so am a we bit suspiciouse that sumthing has fallen in the bore. Thats what it feels like but im sure this is unlikely. Is this the sort of symptoms of a stuck valve??
Cranks wont rotate fully. Stuck Valve??

If you can't see something in the bore or feel it with some kind of tube or whatever to explore with then pull the heads. These engines are non-interference and stuck valves are rare anyway. I'm not sure if the valve could ever hit the piston, especially with the turbo.
