I haven't actually put my ces twin dump dp on yet but I have been in contact with ces and they said it will bolt right up.I have also heard from pretty much everyone that all wrx after market dp's will work.And on ebay there are lots of RHB5's for auction and they look to have same 5 bolt pattern flange as all wrx oem and after market turbo's ie vf22,23,24,30,34 ect..I checked out the site you were on and I bet they are talking about the older 1.8 L GL turbo's which had the RHB5 VF8 I think.

I just checked your thread on ebay turbos in misc. They all have the 4 bolt pattern you speak of.At least 1 of those is one I was looking at and thought had the 5 bolt. so either they are from old GL's or I am missinformed.I know some of you here have after market dp's so which is it 4 or 5?

5 bolts for wrx legacys. 4 is old stuff i got the turbo for that 4 bolt flange and dame its better its got a bigger exhuste fan i am going to swap that one in and let u no how good that spools up. i love subarus so eazy. ciao
You may be right, I see Loyale/GLs labelled as Legacy all the time. Just to clarify if anyone cares - the GLs I owned were the old EA81s not the EA82s. My mother had a Loyale and I hated it - nothing but problems and no one could figure out why. Probably a lemon, but in this state you need to have the same problem three times in a year or something like that. These were all different problems...why am I talking about this?

The last turbo I listed for sale on ebay was from an XT. Perhaps anything pre legacy that is turbo got the four bolt and anything post legacy got the 5 bolt?

Im going to modify it though, adding a magnaflow 3 inch cat in the middle
dont cut up that dp, its so wonderful, just have a custom mid pipe and wrx exhaust put one and have the cat put on right after the dp. and if you keep it out of the motor bay it will cut down on heat big time.
do you have to put that cat in because of the CARB regulations in california? Needing to keep a stock like cat setup in stock location or something?

There's a friend of mine in California running a single high flow cat that passes emissions I'm pretty sure.

subiekid: But I dont care about looks. As long as my car is clean and fast Im happy. Im extemely against modifying a car for looks. I dont plan to have it in the stock location, but this downpipe is so long that if I put it after the pipe the cat would be under the passenger seat.
czo79: I plan to have a smog official inspect the car (after engine swap) using the stock exhaust. Afterwards I plan to install these items. It will be easier for me to use any old smog station if it at least looks stock.

I know on the n/a cars they use a two way catalyst. The first part of the catalyst is in the collector pipe, and the second part is in the mid-pipe.
I'm assuming the turbo cars are the same, except they have their first cat in the downpipe.
You could do away with the two stage catalyst for a single high flow unit. I think it would be better in terms of performance, plus emissions will probably be the same or better since it's a new part vs. one that is 10-13 years old.
Yeah Josh is right. I didn't realizes the specifics on it, but there is a two part cat. The first and larger piece is in the downpipe, and the second piece is in the midpipe.
My old GL-10 had the cat in the down pipe go bad and I replaced the smaller midpipe cat with a new cat and it solved all my smog problems.
In the end though I don't know if that will just mean it will go out faster or not. I have no idea what leaving that bad cat in there will do.

leaving the bad cat will most likely slow down the exhaust gas flow, create a restriction and rob power. If you gutted the cat, it would probably have less effect and probably just act as a resonator.
My DP has 5 bolt holes on the flange. (3 for bolts and 2 for studs from the turbo).
The stock system has a 2-part cat system. My new exhaust has a single 3" cat. behind the turbo and a resonator where the second cat. used to be.
Also the car just passed the Cal. emissions with flying colors.
