Kill my beeper

I want to kill the loud noise my car makes while the door is open. I need to know what to look for and where to look. My ears thank u

You mean while the key's in and the door's open?

There's a tiny connector attached to the ignition switch that you can disconnect, so the chime thing won't know the key's in there. But I guess in some cases that can interfere with power seat belt functionality, so the seat belt warning light flashes.

I usually disconnect that connector just while I have my head under the dash working on something.

Mine disappeared when I removed my power seatbelts......

Its in the gauge cluster, I smashed its insides with a screwdriver.

weird. I didnt have to smash anything. Under the dash there is a box thing that looks bout the same size as a relay.

I got it on second go, and nothing else seems to have stopped working
