I have a 99 Gt wagon with 145k miles. I would like to over hall the brakes.
I am looking to replace the rotors, calipers, pads and master cylinder.
I am looking for suggestions on what type of components for the replacement. Also what else do I need?
I dont autocross. But I would like someting better than stock.

The simple and cheap way to go is to use OEM parts from other Subarus.
Get rotors, calipers, and pads for a WRX. I don't know for sure, but it's possible that your calipers are the same and you only really need to swap the caliper brackets. Also, you may want to get performance pads and cryogenically treat the rotors.
Your stock master cylinder (or a newly remanufactured one) is probably the way to go. The only other option would be to swap to the single stage brake booster. If you did this, I think the master cylinder you'd want would be the one on 90-94 Legacies with ABS (your stock one wouldn't fit).

They might be the same. I think the Impreza switched to the newer style in 98, but the Legacy might not have changed until 00. Your rear brakes are the same as those on a WRX, so you'd probably want to get the brackets from here, and go with the bigger rear legacy discs along with WRX sized fronts. I'd check to see if you have the newer style calipers, in which case you'll only need the bigger brackets, new rotors, and pads.
I think you'll need to upgrade the calipers as well, though. If you're willing to take some time shopping around for used parts on nasioc, etc, you should be able to get it done for $600 or less. I'm doing the WRX front and 00+ Legacy rear brakes. My front calipers and brackets were $100, rear calipers were $60, SS lines were free, Axxis Ultimate pads all around were $70, and the rear rotors and caliper brackets will be $225+ shipping. I'm still shopping for front rotors, and it's looking like I'm going to have to spend about $130.
