Post by wsimpson86 »

On the bottom there is little rubber things between the motor and timing chain cover and it leaks oil out of it, is it normal wear and tear or should i worry?

Unless you have an H6 outback you have a timing belt :). And if you do have a timing chain, you shouldn't have rubber seals holding a plastic cover. Yo ushouldn't even have a plastic cover. Anyway, if it's leaking from behind the cover it can be usually one or two things, either your ps pump is leaking, or your front seals are leaking. Find out if it's ATF or if it's oil. Or just look under the PS pump for a puddle. If there isn't one then it's your front seals. I'd replace it as quick as I could since belts and oil don't mix well.
