Are there any other models that have the same front and/or rear pads as our cars?
I ask because I was thinking of getting new pads, and it seems to be rather hard to find pads specifically for our cars. If there are some meant for some of the newer Legacies or Imprezas that are the same, that would help the search immensly.
Also, does the WRX use exactly the same fittings for the brake lines? I was also planning on getting a set of braided lines, and it seems to be MUCH easier to find WRX parts....... Besides, I have WRX struts on there already, so the intermediate clip (to the strut) should be the same.

No, no other pads are the same IIRC. Pads are fairly easy to come by. Tire rack stocks some for the SS.
The WRX uses EXACTLY the same fittings. I am running WRX SS brake lines now.
You should consider doing the WRX front brake upgrade. It's a good upgrade and adds a lot to the confidence of braking.

I am running Hawk HP+'s up front (WRX upgrade though), and SBS Gransport 6's in the rear. I'll be replacing the rears with Gransport 5's next time around.

I may do it if I can find the parts for a reasonable price.
Until then, I may just get some lines and replace my O2 sensor.

I believe the rears are the same as newer Legacies, but we have vented discs while they don't.

The front brakes....there may be some similar...but I can't confirm.
The rears are the same as the imprezas & newer legacies up until like 96 or 97 when they went to the single tab brake pad vs the two tabs.
Here's pics of the older style brakes/pads
There's a thread on nasioc in the brake forum about this very issue and compatibility.
