kartboy wrx short shifter?

i also just ordered this off ebay slightly used 70$ shipped, good price? anybody running this? have any thoughts on it? i know the wrx short shifters for 02-03 hook up with alil modification. my friend josh allready has one and its has a great feel, very positive. Not sloppy at all as always thanx for the comments you all have + or -

You will need WRX shifter linkage & the newer shifter joint

are u sure about this, we only had to modify the lil ball at the end of the shifter to make it work on my friend joshs leggy, he did this in the process of the 5mt swap, although i may be wrong all i rmember was grinding that ball down and drilling a hole through it for a pin to fit through it

You might be able modify it to fit the stock legacy linkage, but to get it to fit using stock components without modifying them, you will need the parts I mentioned.

I used them when I did my AWD & 5MT swap.

yea, ill prolly just go the modifying route, thats always the most fun but thanx for the info, so did i get a good deal on the used kartboy shifter? for $70 bux?

yeah i think that's about norm.

I've got one. I need to sell it. I just didn't care for the sti or kartboy on the transmission that's in my car. I've driven with both shifters on a wrx, and they felt fine.....
