Performance?
Car feels somewhat faster, but I'm on the stock turbo and stock boost at the moment so I wasn't expecting a huge improvement yet. The turbo spools ridiculously fast now. It basically spools anytime your toe is touching the pedal.
Sound?
Real nice, deep rumble, but not annoyingly loud (I like it quiet). If you want it loud, turboXS sells a 3" version of the muffler. But, they said they made 450hp through the smaller muffler, so I think that might be adequate for me.
Looks?
Yeah, that muffler tip looks ricey. Oh well, nothing I can do about that except going postal with a sawzall... and that would end badly.

How to:
1) The WRX downpipe bolted right up to the turbo flange - no problems aside from the fact that the previous owner f'd some studs up.
2) The O2 bung in the TurboXS system is located after the cat. I don't know if that would work for our computer or not, but it didn't matter to me because I wanted an 2nd bung for a wideband anyway. So, I had them weld an extra O2 bung in our normal location, leaving the TurboXS bung plugged and available for my future wideband.

3) The exhaust hanger on the midpipe had to be moved a few inches towards the back of the car
4) The extender - the mod you always hear about - between the midpipe and muffler. The easiest thing to do would be to just cut the pipes and weld in extra straightpipe. But, another option is to do what I did: fabricate a whole new segment with flanges. That way, this exhaust is "plug n play" and could theoretically go back on some kid's WRX some day. OR if I bash something on a rock I can replace any segment with WRX parts easily in my own driveway.
NOTE - those flanges are NOT perpendicular. We had to custom align those flanges for angle and length to make the system line up right... not really sure why.
5) Didn't use this hanger. Shrug
6) We had to use Kartboy "Extra Long" hangers on the muffler ($9). Reason was that the stock hangers made the muffler tip contact the bumper. Not a big deal, I drove with it like that for a few weeks with no trouble. But, I eventually replaced them with Kartboy extra longs and now everything looks and works perfect.
