helix high flow cat downpipe.

Post by gt350 »

got a helix high flow cat downpipe for free from work today. also came with a 2.5" catless cat back. may sell it if I don't like it. but a wrx turboback is a little short on a legacy.need to extend it a few inches to work. is that the norm?

I think rallysam commissioned Andrewtech Automotive to make some adapters to fit a WRX exhaust to a Sport Sedan. Try dropping Andrew a line:

thanks for the link but I'll just lengthen it myself. and change the hangers. no biggie. the vj11 is now a very annoying turbo. spools way too fast. lol i'm used to a little lag on my other vehicles.

well I extended the mid section(or cat back I guess.) added 4" on the front and 2 1/4 in the rear so I didn't have to change the hanger location. and I hate the stock wrx muffler. its too quiet. going to have to change that. but it spools like instantly wich is annoying. now to get the lightweight flywheel(13lb) and clutch in then i'll really have some fun. any one want to trade a clutch masters stage V (6 puck sprung) for a stock wrx clutch?

quick spool = bad and loud = good???

Why don't you keep the stock downpipe and cat, then just cut off your muffler? Then your car would be nice and slow and loud :P

lol
i'm used to some lag that pulls to redline quite well, not snap your neck boost response and fall on its face up top. and I'm not into loud so much, just like the subaru burble. ;)
and the stock stuff is on a wrx. :) hence the freebie. didn't cost me anything but some time.
