hahaha yeah there's a path, so I'm ok for the time being. It makes trying to do anything in the apt a little difficult.
I only have to tolerate it for a week & half.

I would if I got a garage out of the deal
as I hear you're getting. I'm kinda stuck where I am right now because I'm getting married in October and the invitations are already out and the reply cards are coming here. I don't really trust the post office to get everything forwarded right so we're staying put until after the wedding/honeymoon. Oh well. Next time I'm DEFINITELY getting a garage. Bumming garages SUCKS!

yes....there will be no more bumming garages.....and you better believe I'll be spending some cash at the hardware store to get tools....hahahaha
You guys ever check out http://www.harborfreight.com
Prices are insanely cheap. I'm going to have to borrow a truck when I go up there because all the stuff I want won't fit in my car.

Yeah, I've checked them out before. There's a Harbor Freight about 30 minutes from my place. There's a reason the prices are so cheap, the tools follow suit. The only things that i've been comfortable getting from them are the BIG garage equipment items: engine hoist, engine stand, etc, etc.Legacy777 wrote:You guys ever check out http://www.harborfreight.com

The smaller tools i've never had good luck with. Ratchets have blown up on me. Combination wrenches have rounded out, sockets broke. The air tools haven't lasted as long as i'd hoped..
For hand tools, i choose SK. for pneumatics, i'll go w/ Ingersoll Rand.

I was mainly looking at their bigger stuff. that and the air tools.
I've got all craftsman hand tools. I'll have to take a trip up there and see what I can see.
It is true....most of the time you get what you pay for.....

To bring back an old thread, I just moved, about 2 months ago, into the best possible living arrangement for a 19-year-old college student there has ever been.
I now live in half a douplex, by myself, in a quiet neighborhood, with a garage... FOR FREE!!!!!
My grandparents own the property and they let me have this half if I paid the rest of my bills, lights, water, etc.
It's a 2-bed, 1-bath place, not big but enough for me. The only major grips I have is that I don't have a dishwasher, but that's nothing new to me.
I never knew it would be this great watching bikini-clad girls on E!, eating potato chips and jalapeno cheese dip in my underwear!

The garage is a bit tight, 1-car only, but it's still a lot better than my car sitting outside in the elements. It has become quite obvious that I do a little car work, since I have parts sitting all over it
Oh, and I have a Subaru flag from good ole eBay hung on the garage wall!
As of now, it's not so great and peachy though, because my grandparents have since moved into the other side as they sell their house and get ready for retirement. Meaning, I can't make a whole bunch of noise at night, have any parties or any of that
. But as soon as they're gone, this place will be mine permanently!
