Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

Boy, do I feel lucky. I need a few dings removed, some touch-up paint, and some nice wheels to replace the old steelies. I have replaced the a/c comp, radiator, timing belt and all hoses recently, though. While the radiator was out it seemed like the thing to do. Also finally fixed the door lock.

'90 L wagon, fwd, 5MT, 156K, purchased new 11/89, and running like a top. What a great car this continues to be.

I tried a used/rebuilt unit and it was a POS, so I wound up having to buy a new one from my dealer. Ouch. I now know better--you can find new ones on-line for about $385 or so. I recommend a new unit if you want it to last more than a few months. I also converted to 134a, which is ok but not as cold as the old freon. But it beats no a/c for sure in our heat.

yeah....no joke. The only problems I can find so far are the lack of A/C and it leaks a little P/S fluid.
I'm going to put a window A/C unit in the back in a custom enclosure that ports to the exterior through the floor. I will power it with a 1,500 watt inveter I have fed by (2) yellow tops hooked to a dual batter isolator which gets it's energy from a 200amp Alt I will be buying from a seller on ebay.
That should do the trick.

My tank is down to 3/4.........sniff, sniff........and a BIG leaf fell right on the roof, and I don't think it is gonna get off by itself. Now I hafta find time to go get gas......I need more tissues, and the leaf is probably gonna stain my new YELLOW paint job that I got to match the YELLW wagon spoiler
Life seems too long and painful when your cars......sniff, sniff.........I just can't talk about it.....
note:
I had a realy long day, and I will probably delete this rambling of nonsence when I wake up.

Now back to reality,
My favorite car, the 94 touring wagon needs brakes, struts and there are three paint bubbles that have "you know what" under it.
The 94 SS has torque bind and needs the front bumper repainted.
My wife's Outback need tires, exhaust work and brakes. (just a matter of time before she will need the dreaded 2.5 head gasket)
Got two 91 SS's that I bought as parts cars and are trying to make roadworthy again. They need lotsa stuff: fenders, tranny, body work.....,
Our 99 GT needs a head gasket, I bought it that way because I don't have enough things to do.
Still doing the final detailing on my daughter's 68 Bug......this was last summer's family project.
My hot rod "something else" needs to get finished. This is gonna be my fun time road rat. Something we can climb on, no fancy paint or anything. No roof, putting in seats from a boat....you get the idea....
That's not all.......My 57 Sportster, 71 Triumph, 69 Triumph and 69 BSA are almost done. Got a few more bikes that I haven't started on yet.....and am not gonna start!
Oh yeah........my house. My wife and I have been building it for, well if I told you that then you would guess how old I am. Stone house, 2 stories of stone with a cedar shake roof. Another few years it should be done.
I know I got off the "car" topic, happened by accident.
This is about half of what is on my mind that I gotta do......realy.
There is one thing i just got done, and am realy happy about, just got finished cutting, splitting and stacking approx 20 cords of fire wood........hope it will last three years!

does anybody have time to tally up all the problems? Then we could see what is mostly the problems occuring....
This would be pretty neat!!
possibly a spreadsheet that we can all add checkmarks to or something...
I'm working 16+ days 7 days a week for now, so I would otherwise though...
