I have soo much lag its freaking amazing...between the cams and the big turbo, I dont think the front mount really hurts at all. I have to make a concious effort to get my car to go into boost. I still get about 250 miles for a tank though.

NICO I WRX U how come with such a free flow system ur turbo spools up so slow? is it still a stock turbo or a bigger one, casue i thought stock spool up very fast, at like around 2200 like mine dows.

and dzx are u saying that getting a big turbo that takes long to spool up gives u better milage, casue i agree.

Yeh, it takes a pretty good effort. So most of the time im not in boost. The turbo i have is a little bit smaller than a 20G but bigger than an 18G.

i have the stock turbo with a t-bird upgrade, when i put a air filter and a exhuste it gave it a little bit of lag and the heads are ported and polished so it makes it feel real nice when the turbo hits on.

i dont no about the 16g 18g 20g but i think in means big bigger and even bigger, some one help me out if its wrong.

t-bird is a turbo that came on a 1988 ford thunder bird turbo coupe, it uses a ihi rhb5 turbo. if you get this turbo you take the compresser housing off and the fan and you can upgrade the stock legacy turbo to a bigger fan and housing, it botls right up. so its call a t-bird for short.

Old TD series turbos used 04 05 06 and 16 18 20 to give an estimation to the size of the two sides of the turbo. So 04 16 is a smaller quicker turbo, 06 20 is a larger slower turbo...

Like GT25 is a small turbo and GT 42 is a large one..... basically the compressor size dictates what kind of turbo you have, and you can hybrid some of them to get different performance, like the T3/4

Chrysler used to put turbos into, like, every model they made -- minivans through coupes.

The turbo dodges were good.

The Omni GLH and GLH-S (Goes Like Hell, and Goes Like Hell-Somemore).

The Caravan was available with a turbo (my friend in high school had one, it was sweet and fast, but a big stinkin peice of shit).

You've got the infamous Turbo Fox-Body, as I mentioned. You've got the Syclone and the Typhoon and Sonoma GT. You've got the ever famous Grand National, and the infamous GNX, and the further infamous Regal T-Type.

There's lots of American turbo cars. They aren't all good, and most of them turned into big shit buckets, but they were usually fast.

Lots of times, they appreciate in value too. The GNX is worth it's weight in silver now.

A brand new one sold on e-bay with less than 80 miles on it (with plastic still on the seats), for well over triple the original cost of the car.
