Wow, thought I lost another engine!

Post by douglas vincent »

So this one has 120 miles on it now.

And we were in stop and go traffic and suddenly Steam starts shooting out of the hood area. I look down and the temp is pegged. DAMNIT!!!!!!

I pull over and air is just furiously bubbling through the overflow tank, the top radiator hose is ready to burst and water is boiling off the block. :(

Then I remember I didnt hook up the fans.

Hook them up and so far now all is fine. yikes what a scare!

I did 2 runs on the 1/4 and a lot of spirited driving, no fans, no idea why I was overheating a lot. Kind of funny when the place who left them unplugged charged me $14 bucks to plug them back in.

Glad to see that your car is still alive, what are the plans this time around?

BOOST!

God I miss it.

I am going to be sticking the blower back on soon but only with the 4 psi of boost. I NEVER EVER had problems, except with my ego, when running the smaller pulley. I MISS THE WHINE!
