Installing a late-model OEM stereo

Post by schspeedster »

Anyone know if a late model factory stereo will fit a 93 Legacy?

Looking at eBay, many are either the single disc player from 00-04 Legacy or double-DIN CD changers from WRX.

The single-disc player must have an audio input for the dealer-installed optional CD changer, can this wired to a 1/8" jack on the dash for mp3 players?

if you have the factory tape deck, you can add most subaru add-on single disc players. ( as there is a spot in the rear for the plug - I put an 01 impreza RS single disc player together with the factory 93 Legacy tape player and it worked) Or you can go fully aftermarket, but you will have to get a kit to fill in the DIN space.
Yes I have too many Subarus
No you can't have one

It will fit but you have to adapt the wiring.
