wrx intake manifold

Post by dzx »

Will the wrx intake manifold harness plug into the connectors on a legacy turbo?

Oh wait -- do you mean the connectors on the Legacy turbo's harness or on the Legacy turbo's sensors?

i meant the ones on the drivers side that plug into the connectors on the intake manifold. Probley the sensors and fuel injectors?

So could i take the harness from a ej22t manifold and put it on the wrx intake?

Oh. Yeah, those won't plug together.

Yes, I think you would want to use the stock EJ22T harness, transplanted onto the underside of the new intake manifold.

I'm not sure i remember correctly but the other main difference would be timing marks would need to be welded onto the wrx cam gear?

Thanks vikash

Hmm, yeah, I guess so.

Or could you use cam gears from a Phase I EJ25?

Which cam gears would i need? All of them? Phase 1 was the dohc 2.5 correct?

Well, it's just the upper left one that has the nubs for the cam angle sensor, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, Phase I was DOHC... that's what makes me think maybe its cam sprockets would fit where WRX ones are meant to go.

I guess we'll find out....I bought the heads and the manifold and my friend with a subaru junkyard in Denver is going to be looking for that cam gear.

Cool; I'm eager to hear if it fits.
