Ryan,

Yes they are going between the condensor & bumper. I bent those tabs on the bumper flat so the radiators would fit. I figured mounted would be a pain, but with the little plastic clips that came with the coolers, it was cake. Running the hose was the pain. However I think I got that squared away.

Have you checked out the pics? I posted some new ones tonight of the new tubing configuration

Got the driveline today too!! So if I find the barbed tee I need, I should be able to wrap up the radiator install & driveline swap tomorrow evening. I'll probably go drive it around, and then put the AC stuff back in on saturday.....and then she'll pretty much done.

I feel a quote from the Simpsons is in order

Oh, so what are you going to do about your windshield washer fluid now? Do you have another bottle for that?

Well I found the tees, and got all the other parts I needed. Hurray for the new Home Depot!

Well I haven't exactly figured that out yet. The intercooler install is going to happen in stages. I wanted to get the radiators and pump mounted, mainly the radiators so I could get the AC stuff back on.

After 500 miles or so, I will look at putting the intercooler on, and probably upping the boost. When I get to that point, I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do about the windshield washer fluid resevoir. I'll probably add a small tank of some sorts in the fender to hold the window washer gizz.

I'll be sure to let you guys know. I also want to try and get some intake temps pre & post intercooler install. They may not be too beneficial if I'm not running higher boost, but we'll see.

Maybe try getting a washer fluid bottle from a loyal or gl. They have it fitted in the fender well with the filler cap poking into the side of the engine bay.

Well the evening didn't start off too well. Just seemed like I was running into issues. I couldn't find the one reducing fittings, even though I swore I bought them.....drove to the hardware store to get some more, they didn't have any, go home, and find the ones I bought earlier.

I tested the new hose configuration. It runs about 2.86 gpm. With the engine running it'll be right around 3 gpm probably. About 2 gpm less then what I wanted, but there's really not much I can do about it now. Those damn trans coolers are too restrictive, and there's not enough room to put anything bigger.

I finally had enough of the intercooler/pump crap, and button'd that stuff up. Things went pretty well with the driveline swap, and there's definitely enough clearance now.

I filled the engine back up with coolant and took her for about 45 mi drive.

She drove pretty good. I have to check a few places underneath to see if I'm getting any rubbing. The wastegate tube is really close to the aluminum transverse link. I may have to file off some more of the link.

There's a noise I'm hearing, and I'm not sure if it's just normal turbo noise, or if it's something else. It almost sounds like a leak, but not....I don't know how to describe it. It happens when the turbo is spooling up. It sounds like intermittant turbo spool up. As the revs continue the intermittant seems to fade, and it just sounds more like turbo spool.

I revved the engine while it's parked and my head under the hood, and I can hear some kind of noise....it almost sounds like the wastegate flapper is not fully shut. I'll have to remove the arm and check things out.

Only other issue is the idle. The idle will bounce up and down a bit. Sometimes it's a little worse then others. When the fans kick on, things smooth out a little more.

So that's it for now. I'll play with things some more tomorrow, and put my AC in. It's soooo freaking muggy here....it sucks.

That's cool Josh. How do you like the exhaust, now that you've had a chance to drive it for a little while?

Congrats Josh. Glad to hear that you're close to being done with it and that's running for you. Sucks about the trans coolers though :-/. Maybe something else will strike you later down the road and you'll be able to get the flow you wanted, you certainly have the pump for it.

Exhaust is fine. I really don't have anything to compare it to, so I can't say, "wow this exhaust is the mega shit". It sounds like your typical wrx with an exhaust for the most part. I don't know else to describe it. I think there's actually less droning with the CES, then there was with MRT on my n/a motor.

I'll get some sound clips and post them.

The trans coolers will work. Other people have used them and seem to be doing alright. I just would have preferred a higher flow rate through the system.
