TI monitor...? on the leg but not in my impreza

Jurisdiction ID...? same thing

select monitor Tx, Rx, whats the difference? how can i tell on my impreza diagram since its not labeled which is which?

Ignore the TI monitor and jurisdisction ID.

Unless you want your ECU to be in California mode; if you do, ground the jurisdiction ID pin.

As for the Select Monitor connections, you'll need to use a continuity tester to check which is which on your stock harness.

http://www.graphics.cornell.edu/~v/bcbfscan/

The one that shows continuity to pin 2 of the yellow diagnostic connector should be connected to B56 pin 8.

The one that shows continuity to pin 3 goes to B56 pin 7.

Note that you only need to bother with this if you plan on using a Subaru Select Monitor on the car. If you only want to use my scantool, you may as well simply wire a DB25 connector right in.

It's a connector you would use for my scantool.

You can leave it unwired if you don't want to use the scantool.

You should wire the Tx & Rx wires. vrg3's scan tool is very useful.
