power antennas, 2 good ones, still need one more lol

Post by Bheinen74 »

So, when i bought my 93 SS, the power antenna was broken off.
When i moved, my 94 Wagon antenna officially broke in half, it was already broke, after this it is dangerous to even walk around the car without getting maimed by the antenna mast. And it was getting shut in the rear hatch.

A few weeks ago, i picked up a good used power sedan antenna assemblyoff a junkyard car, and quickly put it on my SS

I ordered what I thought was the replacement mast for my wagon. When it gets here, it turns out the mast for the Wagon is different than the one for the Sedan, and the one I ordered was for the sedan (just fixed that one though).

So I figured maybe I could just switch out the whole extra SS assembly for the Wagon assembly. Nope different mounting brackets, which wont interchange.

So, being stuck with a brand new mast, I decided to repair the original one for the sedan. Now I have an extra SS one with brand new mast.

So, since the repair went fairly easily, i decide to go ahead and order another mast, and make sure it is the one for the wagon. So, will update that later. I will also take a side by side picture of the SS vs the Wagon and post that later.

Thinking about maybe offering up the extra one to someone here, or just holding it for a spare. It works perfectly, i hooked it up and tested A-ok.

When i post pics later, will also post the part numbers for those of you wanting to fix yours.

by the way, the SS is 21.50 plus shipping and the Wagon is 40.00 plus shipping.
