Does anyone know what that yellow wax-like stuff they put in the inside of the doors is and where to get it?
I think it would be tougher than undercoat and not let water underneath like some other sealers I've used (and I heard the spray-on truck bedliner allows). Just had all the rust cut out and would like to keep the new metal from going the way of the old before I get a freakin' garage. If only this damn rain would let up and let me do something with it...

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

That stuff your referring to is actually factory sealant wax. The chassis is dipped into a giant pool of molten wax before everything is assembled. I have yet to see any familliar stuff u can buy, becasue you'd have to heat it while spraying it. The only stuff I can suggest is something like Krown or Rust Check Rust proofer. This stuff is actually a foaming oil in an aerosol can that you spray into the chassis or door panels. It works very well but has to be reapplied once a year.

There is some stuff called Pour-15 that you can spray in rust prone areas. The stuff is very hardcore, you can put it on rust and it will neutralize or convert it or something. It's what they use on restoration projects among other things.
