I bought an 87 Toyota Celica convertible. Picked it up for $200.00

It's one of those sight unseen ebay auctions. Guy said it ran when parked not too long ago. I prey it is the GTS but I can do the swap if need be.

anyone who let a GT-S go for 200 bucks is an idiot or very desparate.

Hope he's a desparate idiot :-)

It doesn't say what the sub model is and there is no pictures of the right side of the trunk.....or the engine.

I used to have an 86 GTS with high miles and that thing would still smoke a new honda on any given day. That one was given to me for free. I had to put a radiator and battery in it.

It's an 87 GT putting out 115hp. They didn't offer the GT-S in a drop top. The 87 GT-S coupe only put out 125hp so I ain't doing too bad...if it runs good.

The 87 GT vert was $17K brand new in late 86. WOW!!!

No, the GT-S is the next best thing though. They didn't make the All-Trac till '88. My first car was an '89 ST with the GT motor. I did a massive burnout on the last day of school when I was a senior(with the help of a little crisco). It was awesome.

I should have it later this week. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

I love hearing stories about people and their cars. I guess thats why I am on here.
