Where did you mount your DIS-2?

Post by sammydafish »

so I put one of these things in last night. Though I had an awesome place to mount it. bolted it to the firewall right above the brake booster. Looked like it would fit fine, but when I close the hood it doesn't clear by like a 1/4" since this is the turbo rat wagon, I might just cut the hood framing because I kinda like this location. Right now I just layed it down in the same spot not bolted to anything. I could make a bracket to mount it to, but that would be to much like work, so I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do.

So where did you put yours? Pics would be cool too

Here's my install writeup:

In the top middle of this image you can see where I mounted my DIS-2. It's being held in with one good screw and some cloth padding (rags) underneat:

That's where I put mine too. "Mount" might be too strong a word, though... I put a rubber sheet between the DIS-2 and the firewall, and wedged in some UV-resistant foam between the DIS-2 and the strut tower.

Had...and the Speedline ones too. I miss those, but am glad to have the Formels in 7.5" width (S401 Style).
