Yet another interesting ABS question

Post by TurboSubie »

Ok guys here's the scoop. I had 2 ss's at the time...my 91(parts car) and my 94.. My master cylinder went bad on my 94 so I took it off of the 91. I get everything back together and my abs light turns on..what caused this? is there some type of fluid sensor that triggers this or is it because I had to bleed the brakes? they are bled pretty good and the light still remains :???:

It may be unrelated. Check your battery and alternator; low system voltage can trigger the ABS light. Didja maybe leave the door open with the dome light on for a long time?

This has kind of been an ongoing problem. I have since then changed the alternator and the battery...hmmm. possibly try pulling the fuses?

Read the ABS computer trouble code(s). I think I've posted about how to do it; you basically pull back a flap of carpet under the passenger seat and watch the LED flash.
