Sorry things are going shitty, I keep on having batteries go to shit on me, I think my alternator is going bad.
But that's not why I'm posting.
Monitor your power source for your modem. Maybe changing the circuit in the houshold wiring it is on will help. When we had the A/C going (ahh, summer) I had to take it off that circuit because there was too much current draw and it was making the modem reset every time the compressor fired up.

I got time warner to send a tech out. He read the signal at the cable modem, and he said it's marginal.
Apparently the guy who came before and ran a new line for my tv put a splitter outside, and then the cable modem is split in the attic as well. So they're going to send someone out next saturday to run a line directly from the first splitter.
