1 - you have to host them somewhere on the internet . I use Fotki for that ( www.fotki.com )

2 - You take the URL of the picture, and you put it between 2 "img" tags :

Code: Select all

Cool! I've been wondering how to do that for ages... Here's my car then. It's a completely standard 1992 Legacy Turbo estate (wagon). You can't really see it in this picture but there's a rust seam along the top of the front window, and along the bottom of the front door. I still love it to bits though!!

OK - so that didn't work. What did I do wrong? I used the same URL as in the previous post but enclosed in markers.

You have to use the URL of the image file itself. "http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robert.gri ... ubaru.html" is the address of an HTML page that references the image, but "http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robert.gri ... Legacy.JPG" is the address of the image itself.

That said, I personally think it's better to just give the URL rather than including the image in the post, if the image is bigger than a few kilobytes. It makes it that much easier on people with smaller screens or slower connections. So I like what you posted above. :)

By the way, your wagon's lookin' pretty nice!

Thanks vrg3, both for the compliment about my Legacy and the tip on posting the pictures!

At last I understand...

Thanks for the info morgie. I checked out the site you listed. Do you have the premium account? It says you need it to post pictures on forums auctions ect..If so does anyone know of a free site to host pics? I really want to post pics but I don't want to pay to play.

I don't have a turbo though......I don't claim it's fast........
