New dyno numbers

Post by douglas vincent »

Well, I was happy my motor stayed together, but not so happy with the hp improvement.

155 hp and 175 torque on a DynoJet.

I expected a much bigger hp increase due to the extra 3 psi I now pushing, but only gained 3 hp. I did gain 15 torque though.

The torque graph was pretty amazing. 170 torque at 2700 rpm and stayed there until it started dropping at about 5000 rpm. The hp at 2700 was 90 and peaked at 155 at 5500 rpm.

At about 5700 rpm I would either max out the MAF or max out the injectors (or both) and would go dangerously lean. But since I shift right about there anyway and thats where the hp peaks, I am pretty happy.

I suspect I didnt gain as much hp as expected because the motor is lower compression than my first. I don't know how much, but since its not knocking at all at these levels of boost, it must be significanly lower. But then again, I suffer in percentage of hp increase per psi.

Now to just get some more boost.........

Curves, we want to see the curves!

170ft-lb at 2700 is wicked cool though. Once you get the tuning right and a few of your issues resolved (maf, injectors, etc.) I'm sure you'll be able to put a bit more power down.

Wow, that's really close to what my legacy dynoed at with the stock turbo and a ton of mods. Nice job.
