Apart from the obvious stuff like ACDC and Roses, what tunes do you guys crank up when you're sailing down the highway?

VNV Nation, KMFDM, Godspeed You Black Emperor, They Might Be Giants, Pink Floyd, and Lucia. That's what's in the changer right now, but the first two are pretty constant.

I was listening to KMFDM on the way back to work from my lunch break, and I couldn't believe how fast I got back

It's a tough call, as I've listened to so much music of all different types (rock, some rap, techno, 80's) while driving that I've gotten tired of most of it.

Right now, a good techno/trance/the like song that goes on for 15-20 mins without stopping is my pick...

Mike, you might want to check out Godspeed You Black Emperor. The songs are long orchestral/electronica with rock instruments. Kind of like the orchestral soundtrack to armageddon. I just found out about them so I only have the infiniti sign album. Dead Flag Blues kicks some ass.

I have XM so I either listen to the Squizz (metal) or Raw (Rap) Both uncensored.

If I have to pop on a CD it will be Mudvayne, Crossfade, Non-point, Earshot, Korn, Godsmack, RATM, SOAD, Slipknot, Lostprophets, COC, Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera (RIP Dime it's been a year and we haven't forgotten), Damage plan, POD, Killswitch engage, Sublime, slim Thug, Paul Wall, or (who) Mike Jones.....and maybe Hank Williams Jr's greatest hits.

RIP Dimebag, indeed.

For me: Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age, Prodigy, Offspring, Deftones, mostly stuff that's fast and seems to go with driving. If I'm in traffic I'll listen to something more mellow like SRV.

Tool rules. Especially Undertow. Plain and simple. 'Sober' is to this very day one of my absolute favorite songs. I've been itching for years for their next album to come out.

Also, if you want some against-the-grain hard-rock/metal, check out Five.Bolt.Main. They have the lead singer from Flaw, and the CD kicks ass!

Steve, I'll check out the Godspeed thing... It sounds good...

You mean radar gun love? I asked for one of those for Christmas

I listen to what's on the radio. If I decide to turn on the MP3 player, I play things like Counting Crows, Santana, Nine Days, Steppenwolf, TSO....

Right On, another Briefs fan. Thats a pertty good list, and don't feel bad, I'm not really into any of the Emo/Screemo stuff but I still like My Chemical Romance... they have just a little metal edge.

And BTW 206er, I'm a long time fan of the Heat!
