After swapping gas tanks during my FWD to AWD swap, when I went to buy gas for the first time, I put in about $20 worth. The needle climbed up to about the 2/3 mark as expected. But after a little driving, it started going up and down slowly. Later in the day, it settled at around 1/4 tank. I thought the guage was just goofy, but when I went to top it off, it took another 11 or so gallons. No leaks anywhere. No smell inside or out. Is there just a dead spot in the tank due to the 'saddlebag' shaped AWD tank?

Where did the frickin' gas go?

The jet pump really can't go bad.
It's nothing but a venturi pump. The piping for the jet pump tees into the return line coming from the engine. As the fuel flows by the opening it creates suction, which in turns draws fuel from the other side of the tank.
I suppose something could get lodged in the piping causing it not to work, but that's about all I can think of.

I remember someone having fueling issues, and swapping the fuel pump assembly (using the same fuel pump) solved the problem.
Might have been a coincidence.
