WCLCM: Should We Even Bother This Year?
Seriously guys. I made WCLCM:2005 in fucking SOUTHERN OREGON for all of you whiny Californians. Guess how many of you showed up? 1. It was Scottzg(who's a pimp). Anyway, I'm going to need to get solid commitments from at least 3 Californians to even consider making the meet much farther south than Portland. LMK!

I think you should definately do the meet again, since this coming year I can actually go...
If you don't get more interest from Californians then maybe do it farther North...
Anyway...I hope that the WCLCM keeps going cause I really want to come and put faces to names and see some badass Soobaroos

It was a Californian that started to do it in Oregon to get people from Washington to go. When the other Californians decided they weren't going at least a month before the meet, the people from Washington could've changed the location. You don't have to do Californians any favors.

I'm on First and First. How can the same street intersect with itself? I must be at the nexus of the universe.

They did not decide at least a month before the meet. They just didn't show up at the meet. You were the only californian to say anything more than a week beforehand
Anyway, this post is just to see if any californians are even interested in going

What about have the West Coast meeting be a tour of the Subaru 'wine country' as a meeting point?
Where am I talking about? Why Portland, Oreegon, of course.
Let's set up a meet and swap there for our gen Legos and on the same long weekend tour that we also do a tour of the various tuner shops and manufacturers. I'm sure Perrin would stay open up on a Saturday for us... I mean Portland is the Mecca - Rallitek, PDX Tuning, Peformance Tuning, Subaru Solutions...What else?
Maybe if we planned it and arrived in mass we could actually get some love from those folks in the way of swag. But moreover it would get us some face time and get them thinking about our car again.

A shop tour thing would be interesting, but I don't think that's really what the meets are about that much. Unfortunately, we just like to sit around a campfire and drink way too much and bs about cars and whatnot.
Here's photos of last years, just a bunch of dirty smelly drunks running around http://69.73.145.197/laurel/2005%20June/wclcm/
I can set it to be the weekend after my last final. Probably mid june again this year, to keep it as far away from the wcss8 as possible

I'd like to plan it again this year, but would love to get input from everyone. I don't know if you still have that super cool spreadsheet that I made ages ago of all the places, my pc died, so I lost everything. We'd be looking at the weekend of the 16th through the 18th probably, depending on whether people will still be in school.
