Headrest down! headrest down!

Simple question for you guys: The drivers side headrest in my 94 wagon is stuck in the down position. This isn't a problem for my wife, who drives the wagon the most, but it isn't nearly tall enough for me. There seems to be a lock on one of the posts but I can't get it to move. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas?
