Hose clamps for Samco hoses

Can I just use regular hose clamps, or are there special ones I need to be using?

When we used very similar stuff in high performance marine applications we used the hose clamps with the rubber jacket.

They make T-bar clams that are designed for high pressure applications that are friggin sweet and do no damage to silicone hoses

You're supposed to use liner clamps or T-bolt clamps because regular hose clamps will cut through the soft silicone. They do also make regular worm-drive clamps with rolled edges on the holes, which would probably also work.

Most silicone hose manufacturers won't honor a warranty if you use regular hose clamps.

+1 to T-bolt clamps

T-bolt clamps are nice but they do take up a bit more room... And they require a lot of torque to tighten and loosen, so you pretty much need to use a ratchet. And it can be hard to judge whether you've tightened them the right amount.

But they do work really well when properly installed.

We didn't use T-bolts in marine use for the resaons Vikash mentions - it's easy to tighten too little and you don't need a exhaust manifold hose blowing off under high speed conditions in the middle of the ocean. They're also more money. Rubber liners are cheap and don't cut in. We used two per connection with the screw parts 180 degrees apart.

Well I got some lined hose clamps. They don't have the rubber shieth, but they won't bite into the silicone either. I think this will work.
