Borla Hush?

Post by Subaru_Nation555 »

So here's the deal. I currently have an HKS downpipe fitted to a custom mid-pipe and a Magnaflow muffler. I think it sounds great at idle and lower RPMs but it really drones and get annoying on long drives, which I do a lot of. I want something quiter but don't want to sacrifice any performance. I was looking at the Borla Hush catback for a WRX. Its supposed to be barely louder then stock and since it clamps together it would probably be easier to modify for a SS. Not to mention it looks hot.

So would it be worth the $500? Has anyone had any experience with this exhaust? Comments? Thanks.

Put a resonator in. That should help the droning.

It looks like that mid pipe in the photo has a resonator.

Ive installed many of these systems.

We no longer carry them.

It is quiet, but it uses slip joints, and they leak, which no longer makes them quiet.

Ever installed one on a SS? If not, any guess as to how much custom work would be involved?
