Cool. In silver they remind me of the old Merc Cougar, but better looking.

There's nothing wrong with a Honda. The Si is getting rave reviews, in fact.555BCTurbo wrote:I hope it came with a gift receipt!
And I doubt that little "H" on the steering wheel is going to mesmerize Jason into becoming a ricer

Yeah, I don't like the new Civics either. But like Laurel said, long as you're happy!
I must say, they'd be damn good for a rallycross, with the parking brake positioned so well for a quick yank
And I hope you went that fast AFTER it was broken in!

Whatever happened to simple, attractive, 1990's styling? Things such as the Legacy and Impreza. They are so clean, simple and attractive.
Even the 1990's Civics were attractive, and simple.

A lot of new cars say they don't have any real break in procedure.
Does the Honda have a speed limiter? Damn Mazda3 has one that kicks in at ~115 where it's still pulling pretty damn well.
Honda VTEC is better than the Mazda variable valve timing system, though the power delivery is smoother.
The coupe is way better looking than the sedan.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

Warranty, warranty, warranty. Are there any plans in the works for a Vtec controller?
I tend to disagree.Whatever happened to simple, attractive, 1990's styling?

word.. Si is a pretty cool car, I haven't really like the style of the civic for the last few years, but this one is kinda cool. looks good in those pictures too, the 1st pics I saw of the car I didn't like it at all, then I saw one in person and it looks a lot better. it's got nice and kind of unique lines
what kinda economy do you get with it? how's it drive power wise? I havn't driven one yet

I like it with the exception of the busy grille, and the terrible spoiler (it lives up to its name). You probably also can't see dink out the rear and blindspots are probably bad.
I had a 92 SI, and it was a great car. It even held up well when my drunk ex-wife ran off the road and flipped it, skidding 100 yards upside down through a cornfield and coming to rest in someone's front yard.

About 30-33mpg on the highway, which is where I do most of my driving. The rear vision certainly isn't as good as my '88 hatch nor the Ol' Legacy, but it's decent. My blind spots aren't bad, you just have to know how to point your mirrors. I with tha a-pillar didn't have the curtain airbags in it tho, that would give more forward vision.

Don't let them get to you, Jason . . . if I didn't mind owning another FWD car I'd look at the new Si in a heartbeat. 200hp and a 6-speed gearbox at that price makes for a great package. And the styling doesn't bother me at all.
Hell. . . I loved the way my 2002 Civic looked. . . just not when it was stock!
