The 16g will be an easier bolt on, but iirc, the VF34 should be able to produce higher raw power #'s.

I'd go with the 34. It will spool up faster I believe. I dont' know about top end, but I think it will do at least as well as the TD05.

so i am getting this turbo wish me luck guys, 650 cash and its comeing home on tuesday with me. it will be on this friday if i find a nice silcon 90 elbow. then i can boost my motor with easy and with the sti injectors and my greddy e-manage, lm1, i have in it right now i will be one fast ej22t impreza.

next thing i got to get is a light fly wheel and strong clutch, does anyone one now if i can use a 2.0l wrx raceing clutch and the wrx light fly wheel? also what clutch should i get that will hold alot of power? an be nice for everyday use.

after i get all that stuff in, it will take 2 weeks then its the heads i am going after for better power. then i can rest and the car is done.

now thats alot of work but it looks good.

i all ready have lots of room, i bent my up-pipe back a bit, an i have made a new braket that holds the turbo to the motor this was a while back but i can still go just a little bit more with out distrupting anything with lines.

yes and no.

its possible to clock the turbo but custom mounting the wastegate will need to be done as well as a elbow just like the one magic mike posted.

if you clock it youll overheat your motor witout an intercooler

I was hesistant to clock mine sinse I paid 1k for it and wasnt really sure that I could do it successfully. The only problem I ran into was the resirculation valve thing that bolts to the intake manifold. I had to cut off the plastic part of the connector and just solder the wires right to the valve and make a plug on a little pigtail. I then just used a radiator hose that had a really good 90° bend on it.

Missed Magicmike's pics--duh.

The fmic was custom made to fit the vf11, so it would be one step easier to use a turbo with the appropriate clocking.

Rotating the outlet on the 34 looks like it would interfere with waste gate controller. Or is this not the case?

Leaving it horizontal would require an extra 90 degree bend to get it to the first pipe to the fmic.

I'd definately consider re-buildability a factor in turbo selection.

The 34 has ball bearings--why couldn't it be rebuilt by a reputable shop :?:

How do you even function?

None of your posts have any kind of sentence structure or regard for grammar, they don't make ANY sense.

What level of education have you completed?

Nico,

If you still need a rubber elbow for your install:

http://amazonhose.com/

You should be able to order what you need there.

Welding a 90* bend onto your turbo inlet...? Do you have heliarc equipment? Otherwise, I think standard welding just destroys aluminum. Or is your turbo inlet not aluminum?

I'd go for the rubber/silicon solution.

LaureltheQueen: do you want to go out some time? dinner, movie, rally, its your pick. I know you could just spend some time teaching me, it would be fun. you could help me out with grammar, structure, regard, we could share some red or white wine together which ever you prefer of course. all this time an I had no clue there was a sexy lady reading my posts.

free5ty1e: no i have a guy that welds aluminium, the rubber i need is hard to find i will look at trying to get it from that web site you gave me thank you.

Subtle: yes its a clock turbo, so we can do anything.
