Damn, I have an extra long block ... I should be able to get $2500 for it if someone will pay that much for a short block. Hell, I'll rebuild it and list it as rebuilt by an experienced Subaru mechanic and tack on another $1500!
Oh, yeah, I bought the parts car I got it from for $250.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

The person that bought it is from the UK, so I imagine it's a little hard for them to find any local EJ22T bits. The seller did have worldwide shipping, which probably made all the difference in this case.
That's the only reason I can think of for dropping that kind of money on a shortblock.
Stupid question: was all the info he posted about the EJ22T true (especially that bit about the 22B)?

22B did not have oil squiters. Everything seemed to be accurate in his description to me, but others here are much more knowlagable than I, so somebody might catch something that I have missed.
