FREE Car - 1991 Turbo - pick up by noon, Mon. Jan 30th -

Post by spicole »

Thanks...

I appreciate the help of the board - to save her from the scrap heap.

She's found a happy Subaru family with whom we wish many years of "rockin red fun."

-----------------------------------

I just purchased an Audi A4 1.8T and it ain't got spunk (even close) like my Legacy - I miss the power and response!!!

Rio Red (sport sedan only)

I don't think it's blown up because it idles ok - it just blows black smoke when you rev it - like it's a bad sensor - no matter what the car is complete and not wrecked - and - has all the options. - YOU tow it - it's yours - I sign the title - you have fun - I've loved this car since the day I got it and ran synthetic oil since it's had 80,000 miles - the motor is strong - that's why I don't think it's blown up.

2.2L turbo charged 4 cylinder Boxer engine
HP 160@5600rpm, torque 181@2800rpm
multi-port fuel injection, 15.( US gal tank, Premium fuel 91 Octane
Sport Tuned Suspension

636.282.1833

It's 10:30 a.m. Sunday - you have until 4pm today to push it 3/4 a mile up to Gravois exit and off the Interstate - so I don't get a ticket / tow - and she's yours. I'll sign the title to whomever can get it in thier possession first - the keys are in the ignition and my card is in the ashtray. Good Luck - I loved this auto.

Hill-holder clutch

It's all there for free - the motor barely idles - it needs to be pulled (at a minimum) 3/4 a mile off the I-270 side of the road - immediately.

It fits on a 16" flat trailer (minimum)...

Here's the scoop... I couldn't bear to part with the car (it's so much fun and never died - until now). It's a sign from God for me to move on so you'll get a straight body - great glass (new front windshield), all the sport options (even has moon roof and all the extras), includes hill holder clutch, and more. I drove the car home from MA eight years ago and have loved it ever since - I put synthetic oil in it since 80,000 miles.

Although it's probably too much to restore a smart person will recycle all this great stuff (at least the hood and rear spoiler - geez). I just hate to see it smashed up.

email me (or post) for title info (please pick up immediatly in St. Louis, I-270 going north (between highways 21/30 - That's Tesson Ferry & Gravois) - just get it off the road - even tugging it 3/4 a mile off the interstate and up the ramp will keep it from getting a ticket. I live in Arnold, MO and I will meet you to sign the title and give you the tools, manual, jack, etc. (little anxious to clean her out).
FREE

I'll sign the title as soon as pick-up arrangements are made (must be moved off the road by Monday, January 30 or I'll have to tow it). I will be signing the title over to a junk yard on Monday otherwise - hey it's free and I can't afford the ticket / tow.

first come / first serve

You might also try posting on www.stlsubaru.com. The vibe there is a little different, but someone might be interested.
