disconected O2... nothing

Post by The Scooby »

i tried to disconnect my O2 sensor today to see if that would help with my hesitation problem. nothing, no check engine light, and nothing got better or worse.

i drove it around for about 20 minutes, disconnected it, and drove another 20 minutes, no light, no change in hesitation.

why isn't it throwing a CEL? i remember when i put in my A?F gauge into my wagon it got a loose connection where i spliced it after like 3 months of rallying and then threw a CEL right away, but i sodered it and the cel went right away.

anyone help me with this? is it a wiring problem, ECM problem? what?

The ECU's figuring that the sensor's still cold. Go for a cruise down the freeway after the engine warms up. It'll throw a trouble code.

I ran for 6 months with my O2 sensor unplugged. It never threw a CEL...
