Reservoir delete
So Im thinking about just removing the coolant reservoir, since Im running a N/A radiator (which has a fillcap), what'd be the best way to go about this?

Yep, pretty much. Except -- the throttle body coolant return also goes in the pipe between the pump and the filler tank.
I would say to just replace the filler tank with a 1/2" hose barb elbow. It'll connect the two big hoses together in their stock configuration.
In fact, this may be a good opportunity to install a coolant temperature gauge. Get a pipe tee and put barbs on two legs and thread a temperature sender in the third, and stick it where the tank used to be. That's what I did.

See how the pipe going between the pump and the filler tank has that extra little upward-pointing nipple on it? So you can't just remove that pipe and replace it with hose. georryan pointed that out to me a short while ago.
So just leave the stock hoses and pipes in place.
Wait... actually, that's not quite what I did. I replaced the hose going from the tank to the turbo with a straight piece of 1/2" heater hose. Then the elbow fit perfectly.

Is the pipe with the extra nipple one solid piece that attaches to the filler tank? It doesnt look like it from the diagram, it looks like there is a short formed hose that clamps onto the pipe with the extra nipple and connects to the tank.
If thats the case, I can just remove that formed pipe and run a 1/2" hose straight from that to the turbo, can't I?
I'd like to avoid using couplers whereever possible. IMO the less connectors, the better.

Dont have cash for a gauge right now.
Ive got about 5' of 1/2" heater hose and a few dozen feet of 3/16 and 5/16 fuel line kicking around which is the only reason why Im doing this, I cant afford to spend anything on the car which is absolutely necessary after my recent splurges (optima, alternator, hella 550's, IC+gauge)

Well, you can try running the hose straight from the turbo's upper cooling line down to the end of the formed pipe, but I think you're better off just getting a 1/2" barb elbow and using the existing hose coming off the pipe.

Ive got the N/A radiator with its own fillcap, and huge mess in the engine compartment, an intercooler mashed against the reservoir just itching to break off nipples
Its either relocate or remove...
Remove is easier and prettier.
On the other hand... I didnt really think too much about the convection cooling process. I suppose its fairly important now that Im running higher boost.D

Depends on how spirited. Anywhere from a minute to ten minutes, I guess...
It's not that big a concern most of the time; it's pretty rare that you go from driving very hard to shutting the engine off without a short period of driving gently along side streets and whatnot. The only common situation where you do is when you stop for fuel during a road trip.
